THE ARCANUM ART STUDIO is Mariela's NEW creative space to teach, exhibit and sale her Portrait creations in all of her favorite mediums.
Her new space is a very unique ART LOFT located in the 500X Gallery building. This gallery is the oldest artist run gallery in Dallas and it is built in the historic circa 1916 factory that has over 3000 square feet of active exhibition space. Located just few minutes from "Exposition Park" and Downtown Dallas.
The space is very clever since one of Mariela's dream is to make a cross over between her porcelain paintings and her work with oils and with other of her beloved painting mediums.

The name of her NEW studio "The ARCANUM" was inspired by her love for the book with the same name and for the fascinating story of how the fashion of alchemy drove to the incredible discovery of the arcanum for making porcelain. The "white gold", the "arcanum" was once so precious that men will go to war for it.

..."It is enchanting what you will experienced once you look at a porcelain painting for the very first time. It is almost magic, veils of color that even when strong will never completely cover the perfect sheen of this amazing material.
It is the perfect support, it receives colors, tints and textures and dignifies them thru the fire. A magnificent ARCANUM that combines luxury, splendor and mystery".
